As the name suggests, In-mold labeling is a process where the labels are placed in a mold to get a specific shape in order to cover the product on its container. Paper or plastic labels are used simultaneously when the containers are being made with blow moulding, injection moulding, or thermoforming processes. The label and the container integrate so well that they don’t look separate and seem as the final product. It’s a cost-effective technique as the molding process and the decoration work are done simultaneously.
Need for IML labels:
- Designed to withstand variable temperatures
- Makes the product look trendy
- Separating the label from the container is tedious
- Integrated look
- Fully Recyclable
